CLAUDE HEATH. WATERFALLS

pf_heath_13601The wall drawing planned for Munich by the English artist Claude Heath (* 1964 in London where he still lives) is part of the series ‘Waterfalls’. For these the artist created digital drawings using 3-D technology based on videos in which he analysed the course of movement of water both flowing downwards and projected upwards. Tracing the flow of the water by hand, its movements were captured digitally, producing shapes that in turn were translated into two-dimensional wall drawings. These graphic works combine the opposing poles, movement and standstill, in a fascinating way and play with the different way in which two and three dimensionality is perceived. The creation of a wall drawing designed specifically for the SCHAUSTELLE can be watched on site from Wednesday to Friday (17.07–19.07).
