In magischem Rot erstrahlt der aus mundgeblasenem Farbglas konstruierte Container, der im Mai Halt vor der Schaustelle macht. Eine temporäre Architektur, die Raum für wechselnde Aktionen bietet, die sich um die Aspekte Transparenz, Rot, Sinnenlust drehen – Freudenhaus oder Blutspendestation, sakraler Raum oder ort für Lesungen, Weinproben oder andere Sinnenfreuden. Die Glashütte Lamberts in Waldsassen – eine der weltweit führenden Manufakturen für mundgeblasenes Farbglas – realisierte das ungewöhnliche »Gehäuse« in Zusammenarbeit mit den Berliner Gestaltern Sandra Lange und nils Fischer (SAIA). In Fortführung einer Jahrhunderte alten Tradition fertigt das Unternehmen handwerklich hergestelltes Flachglas in über 5.000 Farben und Strukturen. Rund um den Globus wird es für Glaskunstwerke, in zeitgenössischer Architektur und historisch bedeutsamen Gebäuden ein-gesetzt. Unter Künstlern, die Lamberts Glas verwenden, sind etwa Markus Lüpertz, Johannes Schreiter, Gerhard Richter, Imi Knoebel, neo Rauch, olafur Eliasson, Brian Clarke, Guy Kemper und Kiki Smith zu nennen.
The stage and costume designer Teresa Vergho and theater director and producer Philip Decker developed three different installations and a programme, which will visualize the aspects GLASS, ROOM and RED and make them tangible.
Two actions are to be highlighted, especially as participation is explicitly desired and necessary for their succes.
On Sunday, the 5th of May, we will need a large number of participants for our FLESHMOB actions. The Schaustelle is looking for 50-80 people who would like to invade the overseas container made of mouth-blown glass several times, putting the structure almost to its physical limits. On Friday, the 10th of May – the 80th anniversary of book-burning – actors from the Münchner Kammerspiele will be hold readings in the red container. Bring your favorite book and they will read it for you!
